Lots happening in Historic Marysville First Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018!

 

 The First Saturday of each month the Museums, Cultural and Historically significant buildings of Historic Downtown Marysville, CA will be open.

Join us and experience all that is Marysville. Most businesses will be open also and there will be ample things to do.


St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marysville, California. Built in 1855.

.

St. Joseph Catholic Church celebrates First Saturday Mass at 9am.  7th and C Streets. Look for the spire. Confession is Saturdays at 3:30pm. Vigil Mass at 5pm, and in Spanish at 7pm. Built in 1855, the church has some fine examples of late 19th century Stained Glass windows.

 

 

Mary Aaron Museum, Marysville, California

The Mary Aaron Museum at 704 D Street, Marysville, CA 95901 will be open from 10 AM – 1 PM.

 

 

Chinese School and Museum, Marysville, CaliforniaDocent led tours of the Chinese School Museum and the Bok Kai Temple Museum will be from 11 AM – 2 PM. Tours start at 226 1st Street Marysville, CA 95901. $5.00 donation per person.

The Chinese American Museum of Northern California located at 232 1st Street Marysville, CA 95901 will be open from 12 – 4 PM depending on available staffing.

History Talks: First Saturday of each month in Historic Marysville, California

Talks and Tours Under the Arches led by Hostess Sue Cejner-Moyers. The topic this month is Edwin Alexander Forbes and will include meeting the present owners of the Forbes House.

The tour begins at 10:00 AM at 723 D Street Marysville, CA 95901 at the Fir Building. A $10.00 donation is requested. Space is limited. Please call 530-742-6508 for reservations.

 

Silver Dollar Saloon, First and D Streets, Marysville, California

The Silver Dollar Saloon located at 330 1st Street Marysville, CA 95901 will have tours from 11 AM – 2 PM. $5.00 donation. It is one of the oldest historical landmarks in Marysville. It was built in 1851 and, until 1972, it ran a brothel on its second floor.
